Olivier Schwartz est né à Fribourg en 1957. Il vit la photo comme un art qui aiguise le regard au monde, qui oblige à se concentrer sur ce qui est. Tout naturellement, au fil de ses expériences, il cherche à exprimer sa vision personnelle de la réalité. La rencontre et l’influence de photographes tels que Klavdij Sluban ou Ludovic Carème seront décisives. Il privilégie le noir/blanc avec de forts contrastes et suscite un univers rude, intransigeant, émouvant.
